Hello. A life update: I’m in Rome– a place I never thought I’d be able to visit until I was 60 and retired. I am so grateful. I feel so lucky. Everything is beautiful and I feel as if I’m walking in a dream. History truly comes alive here.
We have all been so busy ever since arriving here. I saw the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain. The Spanish Steps, the Roman Forum, and the Pantheon. I’ve already explored the local neighborhoods and found the small, neat coffee shops. I’ve seen memorable sunsets and have made the best memories while ordering gelato with old friends or getting lost in the city with new friends. And… it’s only been a week.
I don’t have much time to myself to write a full-length post detailing where and when I’ve gone and explored. I wish I did, so, for now, I will keep it short and sweet with a small excerpt and a few photos.
I am so grateful to have family and friends that endlessly supported my decision to come here and immerse myself in a different country, in a foreign land. This world is so beautiful and we are so lucky to be able to see it.
